Whether in a former monastery or in a multi-functional event location, in the center of the city or up on the hill Römerberg, whether it is an ambitious small event or a large-scale open air event: culture can be found in Linz everywhere and in every size. The venues distributed throughout the entire city that can be used in a wide variety of ways are the best proof of this.

The community centers of Linz, the “Volkshaus” or “house of the people”, are visitor magnets and important interfaces for cultural work in the districts of the city. A total of fourteen of these community centers are the most highly frequented meeting points in the Linz city districts for events and activities of all kinds. Over 400,000 guests visited these community centers a year, thus setting a new record.
