Children/Youth

You can’t start too soon – enjoying theater, concerts and museums. Custom tailored offers for the youngest people and young adults arouse interest in culture and more in Linz.

Anything but boring

The museum is only for “grown-ups”? Theater and concerts are boring, because you have to sit still all the time and don’t really even know why? Proof that this doesn’t have to be the case in provided in Linz by numerous institutions with imaginative program packages for children and young people.

For Beginners and Experts

They make sure that all’s well that ends well: at the Linz Puppet Theater children age three and up experience exciting adventures with the Austrian version of Punch and Judy, Kasperl & Co. The children’s theater Theater des Kindes has set itself the goal of diving into the fascinating world of theater with high quality programs for the youngest audiences all the way to secondary school. Topics that are of burning interest to adolescents, presented in acclaimed productions, are offered at u:/hof. With the orchestra workshop move.on, the Bruckner Orchestra demonstrates the compelling, magical powers of music. And the Lentos Art Museum taps into creativity in summer workshops and demonstrates the pleasure of taking a closer look at great artworks in guided tours for children.

Let your voice be heard

Every two years the Kids’ Parade in Linz sends out a joyous, loud and colorful signal. The “Festival for Children’s Rights” is a forum for children’s rights and an open platform especially for children and young people. The Kids’ Parade not only promotes children’s rights, though. It is also a visible sign: as a festival geared to children, where children can exercise their right to artistic and cultural activity, a child-friendly living environment and, not least of all, their right to freedom of speech and assembly.
