Grotto Railway

... is located in fortifications built by Maximilian d'Este. Riding on the "dragon express", a mini-train  in the shape of the mythological beast, the visitor travels through a brightly lit landscape of fairy tale scenes.
A 1:7 scale model of the Linz "Hauptplatz" at the turn of the century is situated in the cellar of the citadel’s tower. In the side passages, there are depictions of episodes from famous fairy tales.

Opening hours:

10 am. - 5 pm.: March 1 until May 31 and from September 1 until November 1
10 am. - 6 pm.: June, July, August

Sundays in Advent: 10 am. - 5 pm.
December 8: 10 am. - 5 pm.
December 24: 10 am. - 3 pm.

Admission:

Adults: € 5,00
Children (2-15 years): € 2,50
Family ticket (2 adults, 2 children): € 13,00
