Go on an extraordinary expedition of discovery in the Museum of the Future!
3,000 m² of exhibition space provide an ideal setting for fun encounters with innovative projects and current issues at the interface of art, technology and society. One-of-a-kind installations invite visitors of all age groups to get actively involved. Spectacular architecture and cool light shows on its LED façade make the Ars Electronica Center a highlight of the Linz cityscape. And don’t miss CUBUS Cafe.Restaurant.Bar where you’ll enjoy, among other things, spectacular views of the Danube and downtown.
The “New Views of Humankind” exhibition features a series of open labs that offer an amazing excursion through the world of ideas and images at the leading edge of the life sciences. Interactive installations give you a glimpse into the secrets of the human body, facilitate up-close-and-personal encounters with robots, and enable you to become a designer of the future.
GeoCity deals with the settings in which we live out everyday life: it collects data about our world, makes global processes vividly clear and sheds totally new light on the City of Linz as a specific local environment for human habitation.
Temporary exhibitions subsumed under the heading “Artists, Creators, Engineers” let you experience the dazzling diversity of contemporary media art.
Deep Space is a domain designed for forays into 3D and 2D worlds—to remote spheres of our universe, into the past, or to fantastic realms of the imagination. This breathtaking experience features high-definition 16x9-meter projections displayed on Deep Space’s walls and floor.
In all areas of the exhibition, the accent is on discovery, experimentation and hands-on experience! Every step of the way, AEC Infotrainers are on hand to provide personal attention.
