Altes Rathaus (Old City Hall)
The Old Town Hall is still today the seat of the Mayor and the city council, and combines modern architecture with historical finds such as finely chiselled Gothic craftsmanship or paintings from the Biedermeier period. The arcaded courtyard contains a delightful open-air café, the Genesis City Museum (Stadtmuseum) and a rare Museum of Dentistry (Zahnheilkundemuseum).
The entrance area displays portraits of four famous citizens of Linz:
Anton Bruckner (1824–1896)
Johann Adam Pruner (1672–1734)
Johannes Kepler (1571–1630)
Emperor Friedrich III. (1415–1493)
