Three steps to heaven

Impressive from the outside and overwhelming from the inside, the New Cathedral, Austria's largest church with room for a congregation of 20,000, captivates through the sheer scale of its massive dimensions. In the course of a guided tour, a journey of discovery is undertaken, which is unobtainable for the casual visitor. The crypt with its ecclesiastical treasures is certain to fascinate, along with the stunning views provided by an ascent of the tower, while just the thought of the panorama at the top, which reaches up 134m to the heavens, is enough to make anyone dizzy.

Exceptional moments then follow during the subsequent concert, either with organ, in Rondeo Veneziano style or as classic rock. Dancers move through the pews in a performance that is both touching and close enough to touch. Thus the Cathedral assumes a new aspect as a performance platform.

Our tip! Suitably uplifted, the incentive event can draw to a close with a sociable evening in one of the nearby gastronomic establishments, e.g. if the weather is good in Upper Austria's largest beer and wine garden.
