Once upon a time on the Pöstlingberg ...

High up on the hill avobe the city of Linz, hidden in an old fortified tower, is the fairytale world of the Grottenbahn (grotto railway). After an exciting ride up on the Pöstlingberg railway and a short stroll, guests are received with a glass of sekt or punch. Then, the Dragon Express carries them through the glittering, subterranean kingdom of the dwarves. As a special treat passengers can also drive the Express and receive a dragon driving licence.

In addition, one floor down, a culinary surprise awaits. A generous standing buffet is ready and waiting against the backdrop of the Linz Hauptplatz (main square) as it looked around 1900. While nibbling, it is possible to stroll around and savour the lovingly designed fairytale scenes surrounding the Hauptplatz. This nostalgic look at childhood enchants both young and old.

Our tip! On request storytellers, musicians and a living Christmas tree, ... can be organised. The Grottenbahn trip can also be combined with a meal on the Pöstlingberg.
