Posthof – Contemporary Culture at the Harbor
By the harbor in Linz, Posthof has developed into one of the largest and most vibrant event venues for contemporary culture in Austria. The program covers a broad spectrum of contemporary culture, ranging from concerts of the most diverse styles of music, cabaret, theater, all the way to contemporary dance and literature.

Nordico – Museum of the City of Linz
The baroque building built in 1607 today serves as the city museum. Nordico offers a survey of the archeology, art and cultural history of the city of Linz. With constantly changing special exhibitions, such as unconventional natural history exhibitions, Nordico attracts considerable attention.

LinzGenesis – City History in Fast Forward
In the Old City Hall visitors can enjoyably and informatively cover centuries in fast forward mode. Significant citations from the history of Linz are prepared with audiovisual effects. A Celtic wall and unusual grave findings document the multicultural society of Linz from the end of antiquity through the age of migration up to present-day Linz, the city of media and technology.

Museum of the Province – Francisco Carolinum
The Francisco Carolinum is the main building of the Museum of the Federal Province of Upper Austria, offering two special exhibitions from the fields of art and natural sciences. The Gallery of the Province, founded by Adalbert Stifter, is located on the second floor.

Art University Linz
Art in an industrial environment is a special characteristic of Linz: the University of Artistic and Industrial Design sets the accents here. With ten courses of study and three training courses, the University offers various education possibilities for artistic and creative professions. The Art University building in the Main Square is often the starting point for unusual art actions.

O.K Center for Contemporary Art
With its workshops and performance halls, the O.K is an artistic experimental laboratory, platform and meeting place for the most diverse forms of culture. National and international artists are invited to live and work here and subsequently present their works to the Upper Austrian public. Vibrant contemporary art is created here, which redefines a conventional understanding of art.

Architecture Forum Upper Austria
With the newly renovated "public soup kitchen", the City of Linz provided the Architecture Forum with a venue for events and production in the center of the city. Current trends in international architecture and historical and regional topics are presented and debated here and explored in workshops and seminars.
