Customs and Christmas Markets

Go for a stroll and saunter around town, buy beautiful Christmas presents, and inhale the scent of Bratwürstel and mulled wine - you will be filled with pleasant anticipation while visiting one of our various Christmas markets.

Christkindl market
November 19 - December 23, daily from 10 am. to 8 pm.
The scenery for the lovely Christkindl market is the baroque main square. Here you will find typical arts and crafts, hot punch and delicious gingerbread.

Christmas market
November 19 - December 23, Monday - Saturday 9 am. to 7 am., Sunday/Holiday 10 am. to 7 pm.
The fairyland figures at the Linz Volksgarten do not only enchant children but also adults. Additionally you will find a wide selection of presents and local delicacies.
From December 1-23 there are various performances of music groups, brass orchestras, choirs, on the stages of the Christmas markets at the main square (5 pm.) and at the Volksgarten (5 pm.)

Winter market Pfarrplatz
November 26 - December 23, daily from 11 am. to 8 pm.
Local craftsmen, artists and farmers offer their self-made local goods at the new renovated square behind the parish church Linz.

Linz Cookie Market
November 26, December 3/8/10/17 from 9 am. to 5 pm.
Delicious homemade cookies are sold at the Stadtbräu Josef.  

Christmas market on the li+do
November 27 - December 24, daily from 2 am.
Hot punch, chestnuts and fried sausages
December 24 at 10 pm. X-mas party (for everyone who does not want to be alone - let's party!)

December 3/4/8/10/11/17/18, from 10 am. to 7 pm.
Handmade arts and crafts can be bought inside the Mozart courtyard in the heart of the historic quarter of Linz

Winterzauber at the Passage shopping mall
November 19 - December 24, Monday - Saturday from 4 pm. to 12 pm.
Enjoy the atmosphere of Advent in Linz from the terrace on the 3rd floor of the Passage shopping mall.
