Dachstein Cave world
The Dachstein Cave World and its three natural show caves rank among the most significant natural monuments of Austria.
Dachstein Hiking world
The Dachstein Hiking World stretches from the Koppentraun River valley to the Dachstein massif with its peak ranges. It features plenty of enjoyable hiking routes as well as demanding mountain and climbing tours. A network of well groomed nature trails and footpaths covers the area from the valley station at Obertraun to the ice-fields at an altitude of almost 3.000m. Our nature trails are designed to introduce their users to exciting information about the surrounding plateau - in relaxing hiking atmosphere. Moreover, the view platform "5fingers" and the WorldNATURALHeritage-view of the two Dachstein glaciers provide an outstanding visitor experience.
Dachstein Adventure world
promises cave mystics and stunning adventure for
individualists and venturesome spirits. Experienced guides enable them to follow in speleologists tracks to experience tight squeezes, belly-crawls, steep climbing passages and rambling corridors leading to remote labyrinth-like passageways deep inside the Dachstein plateau. Neither sunlight nor radio waves have ever reached these remote cave portions which ranks them among the last absolutely unspoiled places of our globe. A truly unusual and rewarding experience!
"5fingers"
The “5fingers“are the absolute highlight of the newly staged Hiking world on the Dachstein plateau and rank among the most spectacular viewpoints of the Alps. The platform horizontally “towers” - just like a hand - above where the mountain cliff drops into a 400m abyss.
