Stadtpfarrkirche (Linz Parish Church)

You might have heard the phrase “Tu felix Austria nube.” (You, O fortunate Austria, marry!). And it was with this in mind that almost 500 years ago Anna, the later heiress of Bohemia and Hungary, married Archduke Ferdinand here in the City Parish Church. The baroque church standing today still contains parts from the Romanesque and the gothic age. It is here that the heart and bowels of Emperor Friedrich III are buried. Of interest to pilgrims is the statue of St James.
