Theater / Dance

Raise the curtain for the enchanting protagonists and musicians on stage in Linz: from the large hall to small stages, from baroque opera to contemporary Austrian authors, from whirling dance virtuosos to sophisticated theatre for children and young people.

Four sections set the tone

Music Theatre, Drama, Dance, Children's and Young People's Theatre: the Linzer Landestheater (Linz State Theatre), which comprises the large hall and the Kammerspiele (Chamber Theatre), has acquired an excellent reputation with its broad ranging repertoire of opera, operetta, musicals and dance. The large hall opened over 200 years ago, the Kammerspiele on the Promenade directly adjacent to it in 1957.
