Responsibilities

  • Presidential administrative matters, insofar as they are unspecified in the following list
  • Financial matters (with the exception of financial law, taxes and duties and monitoring the parking space management zones, however with direct right to Information in these Areas)
  • Matters pertaining to the media 
  • The designation of traffic areas 
  • Exercising ownership authority related to the City of Linz’s participation in companies 
  • Asset management, including the participation in companies (except for exercising the ownership authority regarding the City of Linz’s participation in companies)
  • Issuing the owner’s declarations of consent in relation to the private and public property owned by the City of Linz 
  • Other matters pertaining to civil law 
  • Matters pertaining to science and innovation funding 
  • Matters pertaining to the Universities of Applied Sciences 
  • Matters pertaining to subsidies of up to 5,000 Euros and to department-specific subsidies amounting to more than 5,000 Euros

Responsibilities

  • Social issues, including voluntary social welfare assistance and other voluntary social services, the children’s and family aid programme, the children’s health care programme, as well as the initiation and dimensioning of social services  
  • Senior care (incl. the planning of senior centres)
  • The planning (but not the construction transaction) of playgrounds
  • Sports-related matters  
  • Department-specific subsidies amounting to more than 5,000 Euros
Deputy Mayor Detlef Wimmer (FPÖ)

Deputy Mayor Detlef Wimmer (FPÖ)

Responsibilities

  • Financial matters pertaining to financial law, taxes and duties and monitoring the parking space management zones and with direct right to information in all financial areas
  • Matters pertaining to the local security police
  • Matters pertaining to professional, volunteer and company fire brigades
  • Matters pertaining to the local fire police
  • Monitoring of business hours, closing times and trade and commerce regulations for the hospitality industry
  • Monitoring of parking management zones
  • Other administrative police agendas, insofar as they are not assigned to other members of the City Senate
  • Matters pertaining to civil defence and disaster relief (except the chairmanship of the civil protection advisory board), as long as they are not affected by the indirect federal administration’s disaster relief competencies
  • Matters pertaining to city partnerships
  • Matters pertaining to health care
  • Department-specific subsidies amounting to more than 5,000 Euros

Responsibilities

  • Matters pertaining to economic development including site development 
  • Matters pertaining to the market sector 
  • Matters pertaining to the Pichling Betriebspark (industrial park) and all future acquisitions of still uninhabited industrial building zones 
  • Matters pertaining to the city’s parks, gardens and green spaces 
  • The construction (but not the construction transaction) of playgrounds for children and teens
  • Matters pertaining to street maintenace 
  • Waste Management matters 
  • Commercial matters, with the exception of business premises or industrial installations, in addition to monitoring the compliance with officially issued permits for later closing times or earlier opening times (§ 113 Para. 3 of the Austrian Gewerbeordnung (Trade, Commerce and Industry Regulation Act) 
  • Department-specific subsidies amounting to more than 5,000 Euros

Responsibilities

  • Personnel matters
  • Real estate matters (with the exception of matters pertaining to the Pichling Betriebspark (industrial park) and all future acquisitions of still uninhabited industrial building zones)  
  • Integration-assistance matters  
  • Department-specific subsidies amounting to more than 5,000 Euros

City Councillor Markus Hein (FPÖ)

Responsibilities

  • Land-use planning 
  • Matters pertaining to building law 
  • Matters of city building construction
  • Planning, building and maintaining traffic areas, including bridge construction 
  • Other traffic planning measures 
  • Transportation facilities  
  • The local traffic police force  
  • Department-specific subsidies amounting to more than 5,000 Euros
City Councilor Doris Lang-Mayerhofer (ÖVP)

City Councillor Doris Lang-Mayerhofer (ÖVP)

Responsibilities

  • Cultural matters, including the Music School and the Archive 
  • Matters pertaining the libraries
  • Matters pertaining to the museum enterprise "Museen der Stadt Linz" (MuS) 
  • Tourism matters 
  • Housing matters, including the preservation of Linz’s Old Town and lift installations
  • Department-specific subsidies amounting to more than 5,000 Euros
City Councilor Mag.a Eva Schobesberger (GRÜNE)

City Councillor Mag.a Eva Schobesberger (GRÜNE)

Responsibilities

  • Nature conservation and environmental protection matters
  • Matters pertaining to hydraulic engineering, including the renaturation of bodies of water
  • Matters pertaining to business premises or industrial installations 
  • School and educational matters, including those pertaining to the Volkshochschule Linz (adult education centre) 
  • Matters pertaining to the enterprise "Kinder- und Jugend-Services Linz" (or KJS, Linz Children’s and Youth Services)
  • Matters pertaining to the promotion of women’s issues 
  • Department-specific subsidies amounting to more than 5,000 Euros
